This wonderful hill station is situated in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, Southern India, standing at an elevation of 7,350 feet. Ooty Lake, created by John Sullivan in 1824, offers pedal and row boats across calm water, with a path along the shore. Short drives link all three, so midday, afternoon and early evening each suit one stop, leaving time for tea between.
